Where does gulper eels live?

The gulper eel inhabits the temperate and tropical oceans of the world, but it is most commonly found in the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. It typically lives in deep water, between 2,000 and 5,000 feet, but it has been found as deep as 10,000 feet.
