How many sharks are not dangerous to humans?

There are around 375 known species of sharks, and more than 250 of them are not considered dangerous to humans. This means that over 70% of all shark species pose little or no threat to people. Some of the most common non-dangerous sharks include the whale shark, the basking shark, the thresher shark, the nurse shark, and the leopard shark.
