What is a water glider?

A water glider is an aerodynamic device that flies due to the conversion of energy that is stored in the water that is initially held above the glider. The glider slides down in the water until it releases when it reaches a specific speed. Once the glider enters the air it begins to fly. The gliders are also often called airplanes on water.
