Where are peacock rocks found?

The Peacock Rocks Formation refers to outcrops in the Pilbara region in Western Australia which were first recognised from satellite images from space with their bright yellow and purple stripes that form bands in an area measuring between 8 by 4 kilometres that extend to depths up to 3 kilometres into the crust. They are thought to consist largely of altered ultramafic and mafic lava sequences.
