Are there such things as extinct rocks?

Rocks, as geological formations, do not go extinct in the same way that biological species do. Rocks can change over time due to various geological processes, be broken down into sediments, or be transformed into different types of rocks through metamorphic or igneous processes. However, they do not cease to exist or become extinct in the way that living organisms do.
