What is heavier sand or pea gravel?

Sand and pea gravel have different densities, so their weight depends on the volume being compared.

Sand typically has a density of around 1,500 kg/m³. Pea gravel, on the other hand, typically has a density of around 1,600 kg/m³. Therefore, for the same volume, pea gravel is heavier than sand.
