Can a groundhog be found in desert?

Groundhogs, also known as woodchucks, are not generally found in deserts. They prefer habitats with rich soil, open fields, and plenty of vegetation, such as forests, meadows, and agricultural areas. Deserts, on the other hand, are characterized by dry, arid climates with sparse vegetation. So, it's unlikely to find groundhogs in desert environments.
