When do rainbow lorikeets sleep?

Rainbow lorikeets are diurnal birds, which mean that they are active during the day and rest at night.

They usually feed for most of the day visiting several nearby trees in small flocks.

At dusk, they fly great distances to communal roosts where they sleep overnight on branches touching eachother forming a “communal blanket” for warmth.
