You should not wash a guinea pig with shampoo. Guinea pigs are very clean animals and do not require bathing like other pets. Bathing them can disrupt the acid mantle of their skin and cause skin irritation and infection. If your guinea pig is particularly dirty, you can gently wipe them with a damp cloth instead.
