Can guinea pigs give you rabies?

Guinea pigs cannot give you rabies. Rabies is a virus that is usually transmitted through the saliva of infected animals, such as dogs, cats, raccoons, skunks, and bats. Guinea pigs are not known to carry or transmit the rabies virus.
