Do bats hatch out of eggs?

Bats are mammals, not reptiles, and therefore do not hatch out of eggs. Instead, they give birth to live young that develop inside the mother much like humans do. After a gestation period that varies depending on the species, a mother bat will give birth to one or more pups. The pups cling to the mother's fur and are nurtured with milk.
