Who are relatives of the manatee?

The manatee's closest relatives are other members of the order Sirenia, including the dugong and the Steller's sea cow (which is now extinct). Manatees are also related to elephants, hyraxes, aardvarks, and other members of the mammalian order Afrotheria.
