What was the apalachees shelter?

The Apalachee lived in small villages with rectangular wattle-and-daub houses covered in thatch. Some villages had palisades made from sharpened wood. The Apalachee also had a council house for meetings. The Apalachee were farmers who grew corn, beans, squash, and sunflowers. They also hunted and gathered wild fruits and nuts.
