Why is a bee an animal?

A bee is an insect, not an animal. Insects are a class of invertebrates within the phylum Arthropoda. Insects have segmented bodies, three pairs of legs, and one pair of antennae. Animals are a kingdom of multicellular, heterotrophic organisms that includes vertebrates and invertebrates.
