Why rabbits have canines?

Rabbits do have incisors, but not canines. Incisive are their two large central lower teeth and two matching central upper teeth. Rabbits evolved with chisel shaped molar and premolar teeth used for grinding down foliage, roots, twigs bark and vegetables they forage.
