How long do rabbits live with their parents?

In the wild, young European rabbits begin to disperse when they weigh 500g (about 2-4 weeks of age). They leave their original colony to go and establish new colonies of their own. Most young American Rabbits leave the nest before they are 2 months old. They are entirely weaned by the time they are 7 weeks old.
