How easily do rabbits die under anesthetic?

Unfortunately, rabbits are prone to death during anesthesia. Different studies give different values, but according to one study, a full third of rabbits die during anesthesia. Another study gave a somewhat lower value of 22%, and a third mentioned about 17% mortality rate.
