Where do ivory billed woodpecker live?

Ivory-billed woodpeckers were once found in bottomland hardwood forests along rivers in the southeastern United States, from North Carolina to Texas. However, they have not been confirmed to exist in the wild since the early 1940s, and are considered to be critically endangered or possibly extinct.
