DO SNAILS HAVE A TONGUE TO EAT WITH?

Snails have a rasping tongue called a radula, covered in thousands of tiny teeth arranged in rows. Each species' dental formula, or radula pattern, is unique. The radula allows them to feed effectively on various vegetation such as leaves and decaying plant matter and algae scraping. They also use their radula to drill through shells of other small creatures.
