Tortoises need special UVB lighting to help them produce vitamin D3 and process calcium. A basking spot light also needs to be used to help provide heat that the tortoise needs.
Can you use a rugular flood light for your tortoise?
Regular flood lights should not be used for tortoises. Flood lights get too hot and can burn your tortoise's skin or its eyes.
