Can ostrich chicks stand straight away?

Ostrich chicks are precocial, which means they are relatively well-developed and mobile at birth. Within a few hours of hatching, they are able to stand on their own and walk. Ostrich chicks are also able to run relatively quickly, up to speeds of about 50 kilometers per hour (30 miles per hour).
