Why do eagles cry?

Eagles do not cry in the traditional sense. Crying involves shedding tears and is typically associated with emotional responses in humans and some other mammals. Eagles and other birds generally do not display emotional tears. When birds produce vocalizations that sound like cries, they are usually part of their natural behaviors, such as defending territories or communicating with flock members.
