Do blue whales sleep on the bottom of ocean?

Blue whales do not sleep on the bottom of the ocean. They are capable of diving to great depths, but they typically sleep while swimming slowly near the surface of the water. They may sleep for several minutes at a time, and they may do this several times throughout the day.
