Can a humpack whale swallow man?

A humpback whale's throat is not big enough to swallow a man. The average diameter of a humpback whale's throat is about 12 inches. An average adult male's shoulder would be about 18 inches wide. In order to swallow a man, the humpback's throat would have to be at least twice as big.
