Tom Terrific and his dog, Mighty Manfred the Wonder Dog, were characters on the children's television series "The Adventures of Tom Terrific", which aired from 1953 to 1954. Captain Kangaroo was a separate children's television series hosted by Bob Keeshan, which aired from 1955 to 1996.
