Why do kangaroos have exceptional eyesight?

Kangaroos do not have exceptional eyesight. Their vision is relatively poor when compared to other mammals. Although it has not been definitively established, studies and anecdotal evidence indicate that most kangaroo species only have visual acuity of 20/80.
