How many babies can a bat star have?

A bat star can have millions of babies. Bat stars reproduce by broadcasting their eggs and sperm simultaneously into the water, and the fertilized eggs develop into planktonic larvae. These larvae drift in the water column until they find a suitable place to settle and grow into adults.
