How tall is a gray wolf?

Gray wolves (Canis lupus) are large carnivorous mammals belonging to the canine family. Their size can vary depending on subspecies and geographical location. On average, gray wolves stand between 26 and 32 inches (66 to 81 centimeters) tall at the shoulder. However, some larger individuals, particularly from the northern regions, can reach heights of up to 36 inches (91 centimeters) at the shoulder.
