How long do baby magpies they stay with their parents?

Magpie fledglings typically leave the nest 21 to 26 days after hatching but stay close to their parents for several weeks while they learn to find food. It is common to see adult magpies feeding dependent young even though they are already fully feathered. When the end of summer rolls around, the family group breaks up, and the babies join up with other birds their own age to form winter foraging groups.
