Do black skirt tetras lay eggs?

Black skirt tetras (Gymnocorymbus ternetzi) are egg-laying fish. During the breeding season, female tetras will lay their eggs in dense clumps of plants or on other suitable surfaces. The eggs will hatch within a few days, and the fry will be free-swimming within a couple of weeks.
