How do you know a fighting fish finished laying her eggs?

A fighting female betta usually picks on the male so once the female loses or is exhausted from aggression toward the male, that's when there should be eggs. If the male is still chasing the female around, try to locate any eggs by placing a flashlight to the side and looking on the corners of the tank. After the female is all done, she should be placed back in her tank.
