How many animals die in sharknets?

According to the Australian Marine Conservation Society, an estimated 100,000 marine animals, including dolphins, whales, seals and turtles, are killed in shark nets and drumlines every year. This includes threatened species such as the great white shark, white pointer, tiger shark, hammerhead shark, dusky shark, bull shark, bronze whaler shark and grey nurse shark.
