Is it ok to give shrimp tails your dog?

It is generally safe to give shrimp to your dog, but not the tails. Shrimp tails can be a choking hazard and do not contain the same essential nutrients as the meat of the shrimp. While small dogs or dogs that are prone to choking should avoid shrimp tails altogether, larger dogs can have them as a treat in moderation.
