Are there any rivers in the Galapagos islands?

There are no rivers in the Galapagos islands. The islands are volcanic in origin and do not have any permanent surface water bodies. The climate of the islands is dry and arid, with an average annual rainfall of only 250 mm. The water that falls on the islands is quickly absorbed by the porous volcanic rock and does not form any significant rivers or streams.
