Why plants grow in salty water?

Plants typically do not grow in salty water. In fact, most plants are not able to tolerate high levels of salt in their environment, as it can interfere with their ability to absorb water and nutrients from the soil. Some plants, known as halophytes, have evolved adaptations that allow them to survive in saline conditions, but they are relatively few in number compared to the vast majority of plant species.
