Do gerbils hibernate in the winter?

Gerbils do not hibernate in the winter. They are active all year round. While they may become slightly less active in colder temperatures, they don't enter a true state of hibernation like some other animals.

It's important to keep them warm during the winter, especially if they are kept indoors. They can get cold easily and may need additional bedding or a heating pad to stay comfortable.
