Can gerbils eat a whole strawberry?

Gerbils can eat strawberries but only in moderation. Strawberries contain a high amount of sugar, which can be harmful to gerbils in large amounts. Gerbils should not be fed more than 1-2 strawberries per week. In addition, strawberries should be washed thoroughly before feeding them to gerbils to remove any pesticides or other chemicals.
