What is a hopopod?

A hopopod is a mythical bipedal mammal created by artist and inventor Tom Everhart. It would feature two long front legs used similarly to the arms as well as the rear bipedal legs. Everhart envisioned it as having many variants or breeds which included horns, wings, fins or fur depending on their habitats and environment. Its diet is not well established nor whether they hunt other creatures nor how.
