Can sea organisms turn into oil?

While marine life contributes to the formation of oil, it does not directly transform into oil. Instead, marine organisms like microscopic algae known as phytoplankton, become essential components in the process of oil formation over millions of years. Through geological processes such as burial, temperature, and pressure deep beneath the Earth's surface, these organic remains eventually transform into crude oil.
