What does ctenophores eat?

Ctenophores are carnivorous animals and feed primarily on zooplankton, small fish, fish larvae, and other ctenophores, including their own species. They capture their prey using comb plates, sticky tentacles, and specialized digestive cells called collocytes. Some ctenophores are also known to be cannibalistic, feeding on members of their own species.
